Title: First branch homing of the new year?
Post by: Mark on December 28, 2010, 09:25:34 AM
I did a home check yesterday with a really nice family. (mum, dad and 16 year old daughter)

They lost their last cat (18 year old) to brain cancer at the beginning of December  :'(. They aren't typical "we want a kitten" types. They have always had rescue adults but wanted a pair of kittens this time. They think they might be easier to integrate with their gerbils and lizard  :evillaugh:

They are adopting Eric & Ernie. They haven't seen the kittens yet but have already made up their mind. http://www.canterbury.cats.org.uk/index.asp?m=gallery&id=3&catid=499010

Not sure if they will make it quite to the new year as they are really keen to adopt ASAP  :evillaugh:

Sharon told me the boys were dumped at a vets in Faversham before xmas (could be worse)

I'm sure they will have a lovely home :) They sound just like our family. Our two kittens are well settled now and getting on with all the other family members.
Two kittens are easier Gill. They play with each other and also play with you as well :)
I hope they join the forum so we can see them grow up.

I had a pair of Eric and Ernie's a couple of years ago.  :evillaugh: This time it was Caroline who chose the names due to Christmas TV repeats.  :innocent: Last Christmas she was choosing Champagne themed names for strays - Moet, Bolly, Champers, etc.  :evillaugh:

I went through a phase of naming my cats alcohol-themed names... had Bailey, Smirnoff and Pernod. Smirnoff died last year, Bailey and Pernod still live with my mum - would be cruel to unsettle them and move them from their acre of woodland they have to explore around her house.
