Post by: Dawn F on February 03, 2010, 09:14:54 AM
the sisal on my cat tree is looking very much the worse for wear - I've ordered some new sisal but what kind of glue to people use to attach it??

I would probably use Aquadhere which is a water-based glue so should be pretty harmless ... You should be able to pick it up in the hardware section at the supermarket, or you can go to B&Q if you are feeling energetic.

You may need some little nails to hold it in place while the glue sets, but yes, I would pull them out afterwards. Just don't drive them in fully.

If you twist it tight enough you dont need glue, some heavy duty staples will hold at the top and bottom, make sure they are flush so cant catch a claw  ;)
