I'd ordered some new curtains online, they came today and I put them in the tumble dryer to take the creases out before hanging them, put it on and thought it was very noisy but thought it was the metal eyelet holes making the noise, was a good minute before I checked and Daisy was in there :'(
She is absolutely fine, washed herself then curled up in her radiator bed and went to sleep but I feel so awful. I could've killed her. Been so angry with myself all day cos I always do a head count of the cats before turning on the washing machine or dryer but for some reason I didn't today.
Will cuddle the lil princess extra tightly in bed tonight

  Glad Daisy is OK.
-
OMG! what a horrible scare! My Lucy used to sleep in washing machine, thankfully she's stopped doing that now.
-
OMG I can imagine the horror, and thank god you have checked it in time. bless Daisy
-
Thank God she's ok  :Luv2:

How awful for you! Poor love, I hope she's ok
-
So glad she's OK, what a horrible scare for you
-
It was the most horrible feeling in the world. It could've been so different.
She's perfect, totally unfazed, thank God. I swear that lil lady's a miracle puss, when Jasmine was having her she had to be rushed for a caesarean because Daisy was still inside 10 hours after her brothers were born, the vet told me the kitten would be dead but Daisy was healthy and perfect :Luv:
-
That's one of my nightmares :scared: Thank goodness you were alert to the noise.
-
What a shock that must have been, so glad Daisy was ok
-
 What a fright.
-
Oh Karen you are a lucky woman and Daisy is one very lucky puss cat

They are both so cute - is that after she was tumble dried??
-
Yeah the tumble dryer thing was yesterday, these were taken today. She doesn't even seem scared of the dryer, laid on top of it when it was on earlier as she always does
-
Aw, she certainly does not look one bit fazed! :Luv2:
-
:Luv2: :Luv2: :Luv2: Lovely photos - no harm done, thank God.

I am so glad she is ok, My best mate lost her kitty due to the washing machine :(. she cant forgive her self still.
i always check it before i start it.
-
Thanks everyone, she's in much the same spot today cos she doesn't like snow.
That's awful for your friend, Shiroi-Neko. I'm so glad it was the dryer and not the washing machine, at least with the dryer I could open the door straight away. I can imagine how your friend feels :(
-
She certainly looks none the worse for her 'ordeal' :Luv: Jasmine must have been watching over her
-
one reason I always keep the kitchen door shut - they'll come in to scrounge food if I'm making a sandwich but otherwise they know it's not really somewhere they should be. Reinforced by the fact that's where we take them if we have to give them drops, wormers etc - we have to pin Cosmo down so he can't escape to do even the smallest thing :tired:
Glad she's ok now
-
god how awful for you - like you say at least you could open the door straight away - thank goodness none of mine every show any interest in either but I do keep both doors shut
-
OMG how scary for you
I am so paranoid about doing that, but neither of mine have ever shown any interest but it still worries me.
-
I thought that myself, Helen, Jasmine will be keeping an eye on her babas
I wish I could close the door of the kitchen for several reasons but my kitchen and dining room is all open plan and most of the cat beds are in the dining room. Daisy has gone in the dryer a couple of times but not for a long time. As I said I usually check the machines and do a head count but didn't that time for some reason. Now I've gone the opposite way and am paranoid about putting the dryer on at all!
