She is a cat we homed a few years ago, her owner has had a stroke, so her daughter has asked if we can help out with the cat till she knows how her mum is going to be - her daughter can't help for various reasons, and there is no neighbours who can, so she is going to come here till we know, she is coming with a months supply of food, and then we will see what the score is. She is about 3 or 4, and another tabby!! Will post pics when she arrives and is settled
-
Looking forward to seeing the pics!
-
I thought you meant new foster as in a person, shame. Glad they have done the right thing in bringing her back to you though Des.
-
awwwww cant wait to c her pics
-
Am puzzled by your comment CC, why would I have a new foster as in a person??
She is here, she is called Sally and is a lovely tabby. Pics will follow later - she is camping out in the bath at the moment, seems really settled in there, odd thing!!
-
awww sally is a lovely name for a cat
-
Sorry Des I meant a new person to foster the cats, not you fostering a person lol.
-
Ah right - then I would have put a new fosterer, and I dont think I ever post when we get one (admittedly has only happened twice, the first one only fostered one cat for us before her situation changed, and Kelly was already on here to post for herself). I do hope that Sally's owner can make a full recovery and she can then go back to her.
-
Yes just me reading things wrong and writing sill wording.
I hope Sally gets to go home too.

Only got one pic of her so far, as she jumped when I took it, so haven't attempted to take another yet. She seems a lot more settled this morning, but is being a bit fussy with her food, she has only eaten a few mouthfuls of biscuits so far, but they said she only ate 1 pouch a day plus some dry, so it does sound like she isn't a big eater.

I have taken in some cats that have not eaten for days initially, however when they have started to eat they have more than made up for it.
-
I do know about that Ela!!! I was only passing comment on it - and she hasn't been here 24 hours yet, so am not at all concerned.

Sorry I was only saying, I appreciate you know. Because we know, new people may not and I understood this forum was about learning. What is this get at Elaine day?

Awwww, Sally looks lovely. Glad she's settling in OK. :)
-
Cheers JS - just coaxed her into eating some more dry and some water, so that is good -her owners daughter is providing all her food, so she is on the same wet as she has always had, yet turning her nose up!! Cats, eh??

Sally is going back to her mum this weekend - either tonight or tomorrow, details haven't been confirmed yet. I am so pleased that her mum was well enough to have her back, she has been fretting about her, and at least Sally has spent the past 5 weeks in a home rather than in a cattery, so it has all worked out well.
-
glad she is going back to her mum ;D
-
That's good news that she's going home ;D
-
Thats great news Im sure they'll both be thrilled to be back together.
love

Thanks guys, I am sure they will both be very happy together again, I am glad that it has worked out this way, and that it has only been 5 weeks, and am sure Molly and Lucy are happy, as Sally is a bit iffy with them!!
-
That's great news - Desley, it must feel good to have given Sally a lovely home for a few weeks and there is now a happy ending too. I'm sure you will miss her.
-
Yeah, it is, I am glad her owner has had some of the worry taken from her, and also that Sally hadn't had to spend 5 weeks in a cattery. Erm, not sure I will miss her to be honest Chris, she wakes me up at 5.30 every morning by scratching the door (I get up at 6.30ish), and I did try and leave her out all night once, but 15 mins after going to bed, she had picked a fight with Tiger, so couldnt' do that.
-
Aww she looks great! Such a happy contented cutie! Would love to own a bigger house and be a fosteror tho think would find hard to let them go lol x
-
She was - not too happy at being in the cat room, but I couldnt' give her more than a few hours in the evening as she liked to pick fights with my lot. I personally dont find it hard to let them go, but can understand why people do - but if you dont let them go, you can't help the next needy babe, and sadly, there are always more needy ones.
