Title: Imortance of updating microchip details when moving.

 Sharon took a call from our vet in Herne Bay, 5 miles or so from Whitstable. A cat was found in Herne Bay and handed into them. They checked the chip and it had a  Whitstable address and phone number. When they phoned, it was a dead line. The vet phoned Sharon, Sharon phoned me and I drove over to the Whitstable address. The lady said she bought the house in August and didn't have any forwarding details. She helpfully suggested we contact the Estate agent which Sharon is doing in the morning. Hopefully somebody will be reunited with their cat tomorrow  :) - Sharon said the cat is in good condition and up to date with vaccinations.

It's so frustrating isn't it, there's no point being chipped if the info is duff. When I moved it was literally the first thing I did within an hour of moving!

Sharon phoned again. It seems we have a matching cat on our lost & found but the man that reported her gave a different surname  :Crazy: and obviously didn't mention that she was chipped. Not 100% yet but the description sounds right.

We have a match -  They are picking her up tomorrow  :) -  complicated story but these people were looking after the cat while the lady was moving (not sure if they are relatives or not) but the woman did a bunk and they were left with the cat. The man isn't into cats but the father in law is and so will look after her  :)

That added to another story where a 5 month old tabby kitten was found dumped in a cardboard box in Asda car park today but Sharon has found a home already - a quiet house in a nice area. A father and daughter who have had a difficult few months and wanted a cat to share a nice quiet xmas - they wanted a male tabby and that is what the Asda kitten/cat is  :)

I forgot to say; she had been missing since August so sounds like she went AWOL straight away.
