Title: Loris has a floppy ear!
Post by: Telstar on November 20, 2009, 16:56:06 PM
One of my cats, Loris, has recently developed what I can only describe as a floppy ear. The top half inch or so just doesn't stand up any more.

He doesn't seem to be in any discomfort - I can stroke and handle his ear without any fuss from him, and there's no sign of any injury or skin problem.

I don't really want to take him to the vet for this as he's a nervous little soul and finds that kind of thing most stressful.

He's 3 years old now, but only a tiny squirt as he had rather a rough start in life.

Anyone come across a funny ear like this before?

Nope never heard of that myself but it's strange if it's only just started and I would want to know why.  If your Loris is really nervous going to the vets I would at least ring them and ask what they think
