Ok Guys, Gals & Furries
We are now ready to start designing the Purrs fundraiser for this year and it's gonna be an A5 portrait weekly diary for the year 2008. ;D ;D
Fantastic keep sake of our babes and make great gifts for all!!
We want to sell as many as we can to raise loads of dosh for an Independent cat rescue yet to be decided. It would be great if the diary was as successful as last years printed Purrs A3 calendar ;D ;D
We can fit about 260 cat pics in the diary and it will have front cover (the Purrs logo cat) , inside page for name, address and cats info etc, 52 pages of weekly diary with 5 cat pics on left sides and diary on right sides (See example of inside page below), and at the back some pages for business advertising. Wire bound on left side.
Soo if ya want ya babes on the new Purrs professionally printed project this year, i'm gonna need your babes photos. :gimme:
One photo per cat only please, pics of two or more cats together are allowed.
Pictures need to be of good quality and decent size so they come out well on print.
We will also need your name, cats name and a caption of up to four words (if long words then will have to be 3 words, if short words can be 5 words max)
and a date you would like the pic to appear opposite. (Please note we can may not be able to put all pics in your date preference if we have lots for the same week. We will try our best.)
Send pic as an attachment to my email addy on my profile with names and captions in the email message.
I am waiting for printing costs from the printers at present and as soon as i hear, i will post the cost of buying each diary. The cost will include the donation to the rescue, printing, UK postage and envelope.
Please bear in mind this will be a totally unique one off item. Nothing like it is available in shops and it will have your very own cats on it! I estimate the total price for each will be between £10 -£15 but this is only an estimate figure until the printing quote comes in. This is excellent value especially when specialist diaries without any personal photos in cost £20 plus.

If you would like your business advertised in the back pages, please send your advert as an attachment to my email addy. The advert must be no bigger than 6cm x 6cm in total size and will cost £25 to place the ad for the years diary.

Have sent you a pic of Tiggy.... It might be an idea to post this as a sticky in the General cat chat section too, I only noticed the post because I looked at the 'most recent posts' which I don't often do. The more people that see it, the more pics are sent in, the more diaries are bought, the more money goes to charity!

or
3rd November the day she died.
Caption - oh gosh - "Love to be outdoor" or "Lovely summers day"
Unless you can think of anything more appropriate. Main thing is it has arrived which I am really pleased with.

In June we are having a Cat Show on Purrs and man is it gonna be good. All money will be going to a good cat cause to be decided and there will be at least one class for every cat to enter.

What I meant was, e.g. my cats have wood shavings for litter, and they're often at their most photogenic when they're surrounded by bits of it that they've trampled over the floor.
If it's this kind of problem it can be removed. If it's a tiny photo it may not be able to be enlarged, but Tan will be better able to tell that.

The printing quote has come in now and the cost of the diary will be £11 each. This includes a donation of £6 with £5 the actual cost covering the printing, postage and packing per diary. Nowhere in any shop or online can you buy a weekly diary with different pics on every week and esp of your very own cats!!! ;D

I'm wondering if you can help, I have what I consider the best photo in the world of my Princess Biscuit but its on my mobile phone and cause I not at all technically minded have no idea or means of scanning or emailing it. Any advice?

If ya have a data cable for ya phone you can plug it in to your pc and copy the pic accross and email me that way. (you will prob need to set up the drivers etc fro your phone 1st doing it that way) or you could send to from your mobile to mine if thats easier. Let me know and i will PM you my moblile number. Sometime the mobile pics are not that great quality (depends on the camera on your mibile) so hopefully it will be ok fro printing.

ya can send the pic via multimedia message on ya phone (like a text message but attching a picture). If ya go to the pic you want to send, select options, there should be a send option via multimedia. click that enter my number and send. (ya phone should be set up with your provider to allow you to send pic messages (ie multimedia messages) if it wont send, give your provider a ring to make sure your account is setup to send pics. :)
let me know if peeps want to send me them that way and i will pm my mobile no.

Some mobile phones can send pics to an e-mail address. The key phrase to look for in the menu (or your phone manual) is MMS messaging. A cable would be better though. These usually connect to the phone's charging socket, and connect to the PC's USB port. Yep they are both adorable cats and I love them to bits.
2nd October for photo of Leo on the fence (where I live actually) just taken a few weekends ago, he was trying to catch a squiirel.
As for them both sleeping. "When one cat is just not enough"
Bella actually has a heart condition diagnoised Jan last year, she was not expected to live more then then 6 months but 14 months later with good care, a very experienced heart specalist vet who saved her, drugs and Siamese determination she is still with me enjoying the sun and the spring weather, going outside and eyeing up the rabbits. I hope she continues to remain stable, so every week is precious. But she has a good life and considering they are now 12 yrars old they dont look a day over 8 it my opinion. But rhem Siamsese tend to grow old gracefully.
I can find you some more! I will certaintly be entering some in the photo competition.

All you need to do is send the photo as an attachment in an email to Tan (our beloved leader and creator of Purrs) her email is in her profile but as you're a kitten member (the more you post the more rights you get) you won't be able to see her email address. I'll PM it to you instead :)
When Tan has all the photos the diary will be professionally printed with all the proceeds going to a cat rescue that we, as members of Purrs, will vote for. The calendar she did last year was amazing, it's a two year one and the quality was brill, it's got pride of place in my kitchen!

Hi Hannah no worries with the size if it's large so a good quailty for printing, we prefer it to small pics as we will size it when making the diary.
The clearer the pic the better.
