The house is still stinking after opening some food I bought to try for Franta.
Cat food always smells bad to me but this tray was terrible. It was confirmed by hungry Misa who took a sniff and walked away.
It was Felix pate trays and am gonna ring them on Monday and have kept the box with the reference number.
The seal wasnt broken on the tray but was disgusting and am gonna sling all the trays now cos I did try one with Franta before he went back to the vets, It didnt smell wonderful but not like the one I had opened.......I hope that the little he ate did not cause him to be ill again.

I bought some of that the other week but they weren't impressed. Nor was I as it isn't really pate but chunks squashed together. I don't remember it smelling any worse than any other food. Felix Shrimp & salmon in jelly stinks but Alice loves it  - the only cat food that smell like appetising, proper cat food is Whiskas supermeat - especially the "original" which I can never seem to find thesedays.

That doesn't sound good shouldn't smell that bad! You will have to let us know what Felix say?!
-
I don't think they do much. They usually ask for the number on the box and send you a voucher.
-
As long as it is not a voucher for that pate stuff cos wont buy it again!
-
I just got a £10 voucher to use for any felix products in any supermarket. I had opened a box and one of the pouches hadn't been sealed so had gone rotten. There were tiny flies in it
-
Sounds to me that felix are not taking sufficient care in their manufactoring process!
£10 voucher for anything sounds good to me though ;D
-
had some of that a couple of years ago, and got one rotting pack, it was all white and rancid
seems they havent sorted themselves out yet
-
eeuuww
-
I just had a High Life kitten pouch that was neon green/yellow and smelt awful
like engine oil mixed with rotten meat
after reading these I think I will ring them with the box number
-
Definately do Indy.......I think we have to start being pro-active on this now cos its happening more and more.
I had a felix pouch a couple of weeks ago that was open in the box and stinking to high heaven, didnt do anything about it but should have done!
-
Definately ring them up and they take your details and send a voucher- either £5 or £10 .
I had some in summer and the pouches were swollen - i opened one and it knocked me sick - they said there must have been a tiny hole somewhere and air had gotton in . I got a £10 voucher , but have had one or 2 other problems and got a £5 voucher -sometimes you have to send them some unopened ones from the box to check.

RE; The smell Gill. WhenI paint i put a plate of chopped raw onions in the room and it takes away the smell, maybe it would work for you, hope so.

You can get the "original" version if you get the tins Mark,I get them for ours :)

i just bought some supermeat pouches too and dont like threm either, tins are no good cos my big cats wouldnt touich it.
-
Mine wont touch super meat, they are funny with tins which they happily ate last year. Biscuits they are getting funny with as well,
funny they appear in the kitchen when a tin of tuna is opened....
