Hallo,
despite legislation to ban cat fur etc it is still being imported mislabelled via other countries. We need to get an embargo on all imported fur. The following link will take you to my Downing Street petition which is trying to maintain political pressure to bring about change in China. This is going to be a long haul but the level of cruelty to ALL animals in China is truly appalling. Please sign this petition and forward it onto as many people as possible. If you have a website please add the link. This is only online until Xmas and doesnt take two tics to sign.

Incidently, my cat Boris runs his own little blog/diary regarding this and it is deliberately designed NOT to have graphic images on it, so is suitable for children or to simply spread the word about cruelty in China. It has some very good youtube videos etc to keep us entertained, plus a youtube video of me singing! I am slowly adding more stuff about diabetes.
again please pass the link on
http://boristhewondercat.wordpress.com/ (http://boristhewondercat.wordpress.com/) - EXCELLENT SITE ;D
finally, there is a facebook group so you can invite your 'friends' to spread the word at
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41970046046 (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=41970046046) - WARNING PICTURES INCLUDED ON PAGE
We need numbers, there is evidence the chinese are slowly getting the message but we need constant pressure, maybe for years... :thanks:

Thanks Pam. :welcome: to Purrs
Have signed the petition. Well done to you for helping the cats and animals.
Your Blog is a very good one to spread the word ;D and the facebook is a great way too.
I have popped a warning next to that link for our members as it does include pictures of the cats in China which are very upsetting. :'( Breaks my heart :'( I would end up in prision if i saw anyone doing any thing like that. The cruelty has to stop.

Thank you everyone!
Once this petition is finshed I am considering setting up an international one for children and young people to sign to send direct to the Chinese govt. Clearly it will need boundaries about parental supervision but then its harder for the govt to ignore children and they should have a voice and learn how to use democratic means to change things. What do you think to the idea (it will have no terrible photos of course!)

China disgusts me. I will not buy any Chinese made goods and think it is disgusting that they were allowed to host the games. They really need to be shamed into doing something about these atrocities.
I support Animalsasia but the pressure really needs to be stepped up. I read cat and dog eating is on the up due to more people being able to afford it. My OH suggested going to China for a holiday but I could not do anything that would support those barbarians.
I wish I hadn't looked at those pictures as all I can wish for China is for one huge quake that would swallow it up once and for all to end the suffering.
