Yesterday he was off his food a little but I didn't take much notice of that because any cat might have an off day.
But this morning he has no interest in any food - not even his favourite treats. He didn't wake me up for breakfast and he feels very warm. Theres also a slightly 'soft' poo in the litter tray.
I have to wait at home for a delivery today (Tobys painting!) but after that he is off to the vet. Something is obviously not right ....

Good luck at the vets - I know how much of a worry they are
Fingers crossed everything is ok, he's just having an off spell and it will pass soon.
Keep us posted, will look for updates

Hope all goes well at the vets today, and that Toby is just a little off colour, nothing more.

Well - they couldn't find anything specific. Temperature was fine. They thought he had a little eye infection going on and his gums look quite red at the moment so he is on a 6 day course of antibiotics.
They have also discovered his thyroid is slightly enlarged.
So, he has had a full blood profile done and a T4 test - results back on Monday. Its hoped his appetite will have returned by then - with any luck the antibiotics will sort out why he is feeling 'off colour'.
In the meantime - I went to the supermarket to get Tobys all time favourite food - Whiskas 'oh so meaty' - to tempt him to eat. He ate half a pouch this evening so not too bad. Normally of course he would have eaten the lot!!
I shall keep you all posted ...

Hope the results come back withouit any probs and he just has a little virus that antibiotics sort out

Fingers crossed for the blood tests.

Hope all is good with the blood tests, I know exactly what you're going through at the moment having had to do monthly kidney and thyroid testing with Max!
Will be keeping fingers crossed that the results are fine, and keep us posted

Hoping its just a bad fur day :)
Also warm his food it might tempt him more

Well - finally got Toby meowing loudly for his breakfast this morning. And .... (rushes over to have a look at Tobys food bowl ...) he has eaten the lot! Very Happy
I've also noticed the rim of his eyes - which have been pink for a while (the old vet said it was nothing to worry about) don't look pink anymore. So, the antibiotics do seem to be doing something.
And he is much more his Toby self. Sometimes one doesn't realise how poorly a cat feels until they start to get better.
So - its excellent news so far. I wonder what the blood results will bring tomorrow. Last time there was a raised liver enzyme and an increase in some immune cell which indicated Toby was having to fight hard to keep the FIV at bay. I'm still expecting the increase in the liver enzyme (apparently linked to the enlarged thyroid) to be there but I'm hoping everything else is normal this time. I'd be surprised if he has hyperthyroidism. He (usually) eats a lot of food but he certainly hasn't lost an abnormal amount of weight.

Fingers crossed for him - my vet said that one of the liver values can indicate a thyroid problem.
