does anyone know a good place to buy regular cat litter online in bulk? or would somewhere like asda be cheaper?
thanks
-
Don't know about buying litter online I'm afriad but I would say that the best litter I have used (and we have tried lots!!!) is Wilkinsons own Fuller's earth litter. It clumps really well, controls odour and is really cheap .... £1.24 for a bag.

Hi i have just placed an order from Zoo Plus for Nutro Dry food and their cat litter looks very reasonable - Its free delivery too
-
My little ones and the oldies like Lidl cat litter. It clumps well and certainly keeps down the stinky poops lol £1.69 a bag

I use this too, wouldn't be without it, I have found it to be a miracle although it does tend to track through the house but it's really absorbent, lasts for ages, I'd be horrified if I had to go back to catsan or anything like that after this.
I'd recommend it.

This clumping cat litter from ebay is just chick crumb I get mine from a pet wholesalers for £6.75 for a 20kg bag
-
as I later found out when I got my first bag of chick crumb!

I wish I shared the enthusiasm re chick crumb. Although it is good at holding other smells, it has a farmyard smell of its own. I have to say, it has stopped Clapton's wee smell though
-
I don't get the farmyard smell myself, you must be very sensitive :evillaugh:
-
Maybe it's just the one I got but it smells like hay or something.

fussy is the word your looking for  :poke:
-
You must have a very delicate nose Mark, either that or we have very smelly houses
I don't think chick crumb smells of anything much, does it?

I do think it has a very distinctive smell but fortunately I don't mind it, I got my parents into the ebay stuff as well and although my mum loves it and the price, my dad can't bear the smell either so you're not alone.... I wish we had a petwholesaler here because it's the delivery costs that's annoying but still £20 odd and it lasts for AAGES and absorbs the cat wee smell so either way I'm pleased.

like Rob said you can get it for under £10, do you have a garden centre or something nearby, they will order it in for you sometimes

I'm annoyed I just order a new batch from ebay but I have made it my mission to track down another more local source before the next time I run out... I never thought of garden centres though! Cheers :)

20kg for £15 delivered http://www.gjwtitmussshop.co.uk/acatalog/ALLEN_AND_PAGE_SMALL_HOLDER_POULTRY_DIETS.html
25kg for £14 delivered (out of stock at the moment though) - http://www.countrywidefarmers.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=1216

Was just about to post those links too Dawn! The countrywidefarmers one isn't out of stock anymore though - I get 20kg which I have to lug home myself for almost £10 from Jollyes so 25kg delivered for £15 is pretty bargainous :wow:
