I've had an email but not got the full details as yet. A cat was found up a tree in a bit of a state, it turns out he is FIV positive. He is in foster care at the moment for the RSPCA but the lady has been told if nowhere is found for him in 7 days, he will be pts :'( :'( All I know he is in North Wales somewhere and I'm waiting to get further details. If anyone can foster this babe even for a short time, it will give us time to sort somewhere out for him on a more permanant basis.

Im surprised they give him seven days!
Hope he gets help soon.

Sending positive vibes for this poor babe~~~~~~~ :wish:

Love and hugs to this little Fella  :hug:xxxxxx

That would be because they need to hold him incase an owner comes forward
-
Sorry to sound nieve but why will they put him to sleep? I know little about FIV but from what i've read it doesn't sound like something that drastic needs to happen...surely?
-
No it isnt a drastic illness but the RSCPA/some CPs and other independent rescues still put them to sleep. They can live full happy lives and probably die from kidney failure but its easier to to dispose of them >:(
Theres lots of lovely FIV puddies on Purrs who are fabulously healthy cats :Luv: :Luv:

Awww thats so sad :( I would have thought that sort of thing would have been against their policy. Shows how little I know lol. Poor poor kitty!
-
Yeah they say they will only pts if an animal is suffering but the majority of FIVs wont be at that stage. Check out the FIV section and look at all the shiny happy cats :Luv:
-
Well I really really hope someone out there who can get to the kitty will take him in and save his life. It's just not fair poor thing.

Thats what Dawn hopefully does through her contact list :wish:

Whats happened about this one?

I'm still waiting to find out where the cat is based, I've emailed but am awaiting update :tired: Just hope with all the waiting, it's not too late :'(

I've had a response off Anne who is looking after the cat. He is in Betws Y Coed and although his time with the RSPCA has run out, she has agreed to keep him there and they will issue a neuter voucher if a home is found for him. I would have thought neutering him should have been a priority regardless of whether she finds a home for him or not :sneaky:
-
Neutering would certainly help him cope with his present situation!
