I've been meaning for ages to have a count up of the cats I have but kept putting it off so as not give myself a heart attack :evillaugh: Finally after months of deliberation, I had a rough count last night, and I got up to about 45 :Crazy: :Crazy: :Crazy: There are probably a couple more that would have been sleeping under the bed but now I know why they go through so much food and I'm always skint :sneaky: I will have one less to feed on Wednesday which can only be a good thing but I also have to pick up Little Bob from the vets so that's kind of evened it out again ;) Hopefully I can get some homes sorted for the ferals soon when the weather gets a little warmer, and then I am going to make a determined effort to get my numbers down before kitten season kicks in, famous last words I know but how can so many gorgeous cats be without homes :Crazy: This is something I will never get my head round :Dont know:

Do you live in a rambling mansion?! I am in an average size 3 bed victorian terrace and I keep tripping over my THREE - if I had 45 (gulp!) then I it may as well be a cat carpet!!! :Crazy:

I trip over 4 and cant be in 4 rooms at once giving attention and told them yesterday , gather in one room from now on and they ignored me just like they usually do ;D

I have a 2 bed maisonnette... and one cat... the house is too small for the two of us when madam is in a bad mood... which tends to be often lately... must be something to do with me annoying her all the time... :sneaky:

You don't realise with my lot as a lot of them are quite shy with some of them being feral, so they tend to hide more in the day except when dishes are being topped up. The worse thing is when you have so many, rehoming a couple doesn't really make a lot of difference to the amount of food they eat :evillaugh: I do find a lot of mine snuggle up together so it's not as if they don't love each other, I have the odd little rat bags but 2 of these are ready for rehoming :ok: The other problem is as well, with the feral one's, when they've been indoors for a while, I don't like to rehome them unless the weather is good, some go as pets but others are rehomed to farms or stables and I have got a couple of places lined up for them for when the weather's right, hopefully that will be soon :tired: They take over the whole house including my bed :sneaky: and you can't go to the loo in peace but I love them all to bits and feel very privelidged to be part of their lives :Luv: :Luv:

Now I think our current 38 doesn't sound so bad and yes the food bill doesn't sem to go down when there are less of them
It is a privilage Dawn to have so many and you are never alone anywhere in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :innocent:

Thanks hun :hug: I really do want to get my numbers down though, Dawn is doing a website for me and hopefully the next few days I'll get chance to put some of them on there. I love them all to bits and they are part of the family, but it also lovely to get them fantastic homes. I have found the perfect home for my gorgeous little heart tugger Dyson, and I know I will cry when he goes but I'm sure his new meowmy will love him as much as I do and if he stays much longer, I won't be able to part with him :Luv: :Luv:

It was strange when I rehomed about 10 over a two week period, I was still buying the same amount of food :Crazy: :Crazy:

I know what you mean about them hiding. When people visit here they do not believe we have 27 because they only see about 5, the other have all hidden themselves away. :rofl:
Mind you, as Tan will clarify, 6.5kg Felix makes up for everyone else and insists on sitting on everyone else's lap and going in their bags, and playing with their shoelaces ............... :rofl: :rofl:

I count about 15 as my own, it varies :innocent: I manage because I don't go out anywhere unless it's to do with cats and usually go to bed about 3-4 in the morning :tired:
