Hi folks,
Sorry I've not been around for a few days but I've been rushing around in ever decreasing circles doing the Christmas shopping but I'm delighted to announce that I'm pretty much sorted. The festive fare is all stored in the fridge and freezer, I have enough stocks of cat food stowed away to sink a small aircraft carrier, the puds have all their pressies wrapped under the tree including an extra hoard that a friend kindly got them so much activity will be had un-wrapping them on Christmas morning. The nicest thing about being off from work this week is that for the first time in years I've actually had time to see friends and what little family I have including a visit from a cousin that I've not seen for nearly fifteen years. I took mum's Christmas tree up to the nursing home on Tuesday and her pressies and cards yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to a Christmas candlelit carol service at my local church and Christmas Eve I'm going over to the home to see mum and then on Christmas Day I'm walking to and back from the home to suprise mum and join her for a spot suprise Christmas Dinner before returning back to my place for a relaxing few days.
Here's a few more seasonal pics of the puds
Alfie and the tree

Now for one of Frankie guarding their Christnas pressies under the tree, "none shall pass!" :)

Alfie had nicked Frankie's favourite spot to sleep on the sheepskin rug so Frankie fell asleep on top of their Christmas stockings :)

and finally Suzie asked a friend to got me an early Christmas pressie from her, that girl Suzie sure knows the way to my heart ;D

they are remarkably well-behaved cats i have to say. Are they staying on best behaviour to make a good impression on Suzie??!! ;)

Hiya,
I think that it was worth every penny putting them through that exclusive Swiss finishing school, I love those fireside chats in Latin with the boys whilst we all sip lap sang su shong. ;D
No Suzie's a old-fashioned one-man sort of girl, I'm her man ;D
Cheers

I was just think wow, how organised is that - but then realised its only a few days to go ooops! oh well just trundling off to Sainsburys to see if they've any turkeys left LOL!
Love the pics of your furry pressies round the chrissie tree :Luv2:

Chris, sorry to disappoint, but I did classical greek, not latin, so have no clue when people start burbling away in that language. Can sometimes figure it out by logickin back through English words that have latin roots, but not often ... :(
If i started burbling on in Greek no-one would have a clue what I was saying cos I would have to use the greek alphabet which tan does not appear to have provided for us (major oversight Tan   )

Great cats and pictures Leigh ;D
My fun and games start tomorrow cos I have an unexpected Christmas tree, a real one! Wil start a new thread

Photos are gorgeous Leigh, but it does help when you have such adorable subjects.
Wonder if Bonnie will get me some Thorntons toffee!!!

Hi folks,
I've been trying to teach the puds Christmas carols in the hope that I'll be awoken tomorrow morning by a beautiful cat rendition of Away in a Manger or suchlike. So far I have to admit that, quite frankly, it's not been much of a success, it's not that they haven't tried but they don't harmonise very well and sometimes it's hard to tell if they are trying to sing the same song! ;D. Suzie's present was a big suprise as a friend got it for her and gave it to me but apparently she wrapped it herself, it must have taken her ages to tie that big red bow with her small paws ;D. So far this has been the best Christmas I've had for years, it's nice to have the puds to spoil and the visits to see mum in the nursing home else I'd probably just mope around watching the tele, having the puds has kind of given Christmas a meaning and a purpose. It's only the last couple of years that I've started to get a tree again and buy pressies and wrapping etc. especially for the puds so that we can share a Christmas together as a "family". The old adage that giving is better than receiving is very true as I'm more excited for them having fun with their new toys and special food than I am for myself although if the boys have got me another hiddeous tie and a Val Doonagan style sweater again I'll not be too pleased. They've all been perfect angels regarding the tree, I thought it would get trashed again this year after my experiences last year but it's like they've already got the T.Shirt and, appart from Alfie repeatedly trying to eat it and dashing past it at great speed whilst playing they've been great, I think that Frankie learned last year that a five foot artificial Christmas tree won't support a 15lb genuine cat after he tried to climb it last year ;D ;D
Have a super Christmas and may all your Christmases be Feline
Cheers

I am sure you are being humble and they can sing you a beautiful rendition of Silent Night and such... :)
I know what you mean, Christmas has always been a beautiful but a bit wistful season that brings a wee pang to me, but now I am with Oliver, he made the whole thing so much sweeter, even though we can't do much of the Yule time festivity this year due to the office move of Cris... this year has been so crazy, too, not the greatest at all, but coming of Oliver made one bright sparkling spot to remember, he has brought me a lovely ray of sunshine, just as your Alfie, which is the greatest gift of all, I wish I will be able to give him something in return for what he gave us.
I wish you, Alfie, Frankie and your sweet girl Suzie the best Christmas ever!!
Buon Natale, Leigh
