Just wanted to add here that you all had a part to play in Jesiri story... If you look at the thread Christine has  put on, photos of when he was first in our care are there, and what a difference...The vets still dont quite believe he made it!! Nor do we, and he still walks about strangely adn creaks abit but it doesnt stop him catching pigeons every now again..

Thanks Purrs Peeps you made a difference to Jesiri !

Well i have to say Memphis (the ginger fella) is a thief he nicks anything you leave out, last week he nibbled away at a frozen turkey!! Apollo and Jesiri were his mentors they stood by the door to watch for "human beings" entering.. No really they are all one very happy family and adored to bits...

Hi Kirst
I couldnt find Jesiri full story (last August i think) but he was "saved" with broken leg, pelvis, tail and jaw!! and was a stray due to be PTS the next day.. after 9wks of care and a huge bill of which some Purrs members contributed towards he ended up living with my Bruv and two other senior cats (one they lost this year) and he now shares his life with Apollo and Memphis two kittens from the litter that you have.. A very happy story..!

Just to cheer the mood for today (which is bitterly cold) This is an update on Jesiri who some people on Purrs will remember.. Still going strong and still with 4 legs, he recently had the wire taken out of his mouth (after a year) and he is loving life to the full. I just love this photo of him.. (its on our Branch calender by the way)

Indeed Gill
Without Purrs i do not think Jes would be here and the finances of his treatment were very high and not everyone was in agreement to try and see what we could do.. Without having to worry about that he was given a chance.. I just home that Purrs can help other cats that end up in rescue, and the only thing that stops them having a good chance of a recovery is money!

In the meantime we have managed to rehome a awlful lot of poorly cats this year and taken in some very severe cases that have had major impact on our finances, but we are still here and still doing what we can..

I rarely give up on any puss, but often i am not the only one making decisions and we have to be responsible for people money and donations, in Jes case i think the result has been worth it..

Another update on Jesiri.

Well consider this puss was on death door and had some many things wrong with him, now you just wouldnt know he had all those injuries. Jesiri is now going outside and exploring, sleeps with fosterers two other elderly cats and is adored to bits.. He has huge character but is a real scavanger for bits to eat.. He cannot be trusted round chicken on the table!! and nicks crips from your hands.... he has been known to take sandwiches with ham in off your plate...!!Anything thrown away in the bin is considered fair game to Jes and he can make a real mess if left on his own.. he is a right little devil!

He is completely and utterly adored and has now many acres of woodland to call his own.. Already he has found the local wildlife and has a bit of a game trying to catch squirrle!! He runs away from  hedgehogs though! *(literally"!

All his injuries have healed, he has now been given his official collar and is allowed freedom all day to do what he pleases but is in at night..

He is very weary of stangers and load bangs, but he will do anything for food and always checks in at home.. he soon figured out the catflap..

Jesiri has now completely settled in and i for one am more then grateful to all those people that helped him to get where he is today and everytime i speak to the vet who cared for him he always says "actually Sharon its amazing that cat is alive" he is surely a very special puss and we all love him dearly...

I write this while my lovely Leo sits on my lap. Leo has also meant jes and they seem to of come to an agreement. Leo is boss and Jes is the teenage tearaway... Its very funny to see.. but my regal and very silly Leo steals my heart he is also a cat in a million (just dont tell Jes that!)

Will insist on some photos in the next week or so...in the meantime. Leo shows his approval of it all earlier today..
