Apologies, I did mean to update but have been trying to find rescue space for a number of cats as well as raise funds for one called Wonky that I got inboxed about.

Dillen did indeed pass away recently and Andrea is understandably devastated. I'll copy her post in memory of Dillen in to Rainbow Bridge.

Such a shame - I remember transporting this girl part of the way and she was such a good traveller.

Received news of Dillen today. I knew she had a vet visit, here's the update:

"Dillen has been diagnosed with possible diabetes or hyperglycemia. She has glucose and ketones in urine but she also concerntrating it. The vet is sending bloods off ASAP; she also thinks there's potentially kidney failure, which if there nothing at this stage can be done. Desperately need funds raising for her the vet visit today cost £100 alone. Is she is diabetic if and needs insulin etc. her medical costs will be ongoing. She now weighs 2.1 kg!!"

If you can help, please send the donations to Andrea. This poor girl - there are no words to describe how sad  this all makes me.

Me too, I keep thinking about her and hoping she's going to be ok.

I hope that she starts to feel better on herself soon.

Thanks Janey.

I feel so sad for her. I was meant to be visiting her a couple of weeks ago but my friend who was giving me the lift fell ill and we couldn't go. I've reschduled with Andrea and my friend for the 13th of next month. I just hope she's up to visitors by then.  :scared:

Please remember this is not a Purrs appeal and you should make your own security checks before donating as Purrs cannot be held responsible for your actions.

Some of you may remember Dillen.

She was originally with Blackpool Cats in Care, but was massively aggressive with her fosterers. (They ended up in A & E after she bit them approximately 30 times.)

This girl was transferred to the care of RACR to see if they had any more luck with her behaviour, and they have. She's lashed out once, and it was very minor.

Dillen had a rough start - she's approximately 14 months and in that time has been allowed to have kittens, beaten, thrown about and had the tips of her ears cut off. She also has cataracts that are inoperable.

Now there seems to be new health issues arising and it's taking its toll on RACRs account. They need to do tests to rule things out which as we all know, don't come cheap.

If you can help, even if it's just a pound please do. This girl deserves all the chances after such an awful start to life.

To donate to RACR please email Andrea at racr@btinternet.com  Alternatively, you can pay direct into our bank or via bank transfer at:

Lloyds TSB

R A C R

Sort code: 77-22-12

Account number: 31744860

Or use paypal: racr@btinternet.com

Thanks for reading folks. :thanks:
